ABOUT

I am a Senior Sound Designer and Re-Recording Mixer with over 25 years of experience in Film and TV sound post-production. Throughout my career, I have worked on a wide range of high-end UK and US productions for major studios and networks, including Disney, Netflix, Warner Bros., BBC, Sky, and Amazon. I have also supervised and mixed numerous feature films across Europe.

I operate from my own pre-mix/design suite in Dover, Kent, working remotely with London studios, while also providing on-site sound design and mixing services in London.

My passion for audio began at the age of 15, playing electric guitar and experimenting with effect pedals and recording techniques. This early fascination with sound led me to a career in audio post-production.

In 1996, at 19, I started working as a Sound Editor and Mixer in the Post-Production department of JWT Istanbul, a major commercial agency. Over six years, I honed my skills in recording, editing, and mixing for high-profile international TV advertisements. During this time, I also pursued a degree in History of Art at the University of Istanbul, graduating in 2002.

In 2003, I relocated to London and transitioned into feature films. Working as a sound editor and mixer on large-scale UK and US productions allowed me to gain deep insight into the global standards of sound post-production.

My first sound supervising and mixing credit came in 2004 with the feature film Toss-Up, which won Best Sound Mixing at the 41st Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. Since then, I have supervised and mixed over 100 Turkish and international films across Istanbul and London. In 2011, I received my second major award, winning Best Sound Design at the 17th Adana Golden Boll Film Festival for Losers’ Club.

From 2007 to 2017, I was the owner, director, and lead re-recording mixer of Zound Istanbul, a full-service sound post-production company specializing in Foley, ADR, FX Editing, and Mixing. Running Zound Istanbul provided me with extensive experience managing the entire post-production workflow across diverse genres.

Since 2017, I have focused primarily on UK and US productions, offering high-end sound post-production services while enjoying life in the beautiful English countryside.
